Why did you decide to become a midwife?

I was born and raised in Southern California and currently live in Orange County. My passion for birth was discovered when I had the honor of being present at one of my best friends' births, supporting both her and her husband through that magical process. That moment changed everything for me. It led me to become a doula, and my love for walking alongside families carried me into becoming a midwife. My focus and drive come from my knowledge of holistic medicine and a desire to keep learning and growing in the birth world. On a personal note, I am a proud dog mama to my fur baby, Koa, and I love spending my spare time at the ocean or cooking for family and friends!

What is your philosophy about birth?

I believe in the inherent strength and wisdom of a woman's body. My care is centered around holistic support, nurturing the natural process of childbirth, and building a deep partnership between midwife and mother. I respect the cultural, emotional, and physical needs of every family I serve, and my care is grounded in evidence-based practice while always remaining personal and compassionate. I value informed decision-making and want every woman to feel empowered to take an active part in her birth. Ultimately, I want to create a safe, respectful, and empowering space where birth is honored as the transformative, life-affirming experience it was designed to be.

What training do you have?

I am a Licensed Midwife, licensed by the Medical Board of California, and a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives. Before becoming a birth professional, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training and my Master's Degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology, and I spent 18 years working in sports medicine. While that may not seem related to the birthing world, my background in emergency care and hands-on treatment taught me to stay calm, think clearly, and care for the whole person, which has prepared me to nurture the needs of the birthing process. I have also had the honor of helping Lindsey train other doulas, which has been a beautiful way to give back to the birth community that shaped me.

What other services do you offer?

Alongside Lindsey, I provide full-scope homebirth care for families throughout Orange County and the surrounding areas. This includes prenatal care, labor and birth attendance, postpartum visits and support, and birth registration. I also help families with the business side of their care, so they always have someone to reach out to with questions about paperwork, scheduling, or billing.
