"Lindsey is an absolute blessing! She was referred to us from a good friend, and I am forever grateful for the connection. From the moment we first met her, my husband and I knew she was the one! We wanted a midwife that was not only medically knowledgeable about pregnancy and the birth process, but we wanted someone that shared our love for babies, family and life! We also wanted someone that was fun too! Lindsey completely exceeded our expectations.
My home birth experience was so awesome! I still get teary eyed when I think about it. Lindsey, and her equally amazing midwife assistants, helped us welcome our first baby boy into this world. As a first time mother, I was of course nervous during labor. Although sometimes it feels like it was all a blur, what I remember most during labor was Lindsey's calmness and confidence in me throughout it all. Never did she make me feel worried or unsure. My husband Brian says, "I had the utmost confidence in Lindsey during labor. I knew our son was in excellent hands." We are so thankful. The entire office is filled with amazing women, doing amazing things. We also found our most favorite family chiropractor there too! Dr. Brittany Cicon is brilliant! We totally feel like family when we are there.

It's all about Lindsey Meehleis!!! She is not only an incredible midwife, but an amazing and beautiful person. Our family feels so fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet and get to know this caring, charismatic, knowledgeable and supportive woman, and even more so to have had her guide us through the journey of having a home birth.
From the moment we met her for a consultation, my husband and I felt an instant connection with Lindsey. I had already interviewed Lorri from South Coast Midwifery, but I left that interview feeling uncertain and underwhelmed. Not so with Lindsey. Her warmth and passion for all things childbirth related are immediately evident, and although this was our first time going the midwife/home birth route (our first child was born in a hospital), she made us feel at ease from the very start. Lindsey made herself available and was always easy to reach if I ever had questions or concerns, helping me remain calm and keep my stress levels low throughout the pregnancy. She even made sure to include our oldest child in the process, spending the extra time to make him feel important and comfortable at each appointment (and even during the birth!).
Despite having family who questioned the home birth process, we never doubted our decision to have a home birth as a result of Lindsey's constant support. Her expertise in the area of childbirth was clear, making her very easy to trust. And I honestly felt that, as a client, I was very important to her, as was my pregnancy and the well-being of my family. I've never had a relationship like that with any doctor in any field.
The birth itself was as close to perfect as I imagine it could be. I felt 100% prepared for the entire process and Lindsey was amazing throughout. She made sure I was ok and helped me when the contractions were really tough. And even since the birth, she has been so supportive in providing parental advice and normalizing situations that cause me concern. I trust her as she has never steered me wrong and I feel her intentions are pure and without motive.
I will be forever grateful to this fabulous woman for this experience and for helping us welcome our second beautiful boy into the world. I view Lindsey as a friend with whom I plan to maintain a close relationship, and when my husband and I decide to have our next child, without question we will be giving Lindsey a call!!!

When I found out I was pregnant, I began researching natural births. I hired a doula by 8 weeks and asked her to recommend an OB in Orange County who would be supportive of natural hospital deliveries. She could name only one and asked if I had considered a home birth. My sister, who lives in the Midwest, had delivered at home, but I hadn't considered it for myself at the time. My doula had such wonderful things to say about Lindsey, that my husband and I decided to meet with her, in addition to the OB, and decide from there.
At our visit with Lindsey, we felt an instant connection. Her knowledge and passion for midwifery shines through immediately. She's very warm and personable, like a friend we had known forever. The comfort we felt extended to her office environment, a nurturing oasis in sharp contrast to your typical medical office. She spent over an hour with us as I shared my hesitation on birthing at home. She answered each question with ease and confidence and by the time the appointment was over, I was convinced a home water birth was the way to go, and subsequently cancelled the OB consultation.
For the next 7 months we looked forward to each appointment with Lindsey. We appreciated that she could meet on Saturdays, that we never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and that she spent significant time answering each question at every stage. She guided us in taking a Hypnobabies birth class, which was the perfect preparation for the big day to follow.
As our guess date approached, I felt extremely confident. Then the date came, went, and still no baby. She checked in daily to see how things were going. At the one week mark I was extremely anxious and she kept me grounded, which I needed dearly. On the 10th day post guess date, my water broke in the early morning. Lindsey and her assistant arrived by 2:30 pm and three hours later our son was born in the water. It was the most beautiful experience made possible through Lindsey's guidance.
What I didn't realize during pregnancy is the importance of postnatal care. As a first-time mom, everything was new, and Lindsey exceeded our expectations with comprehensive support, through home visits, office visits, and even late-night text messages. I was struggling emotionally with breastfeeding a high-frequency feeder, and Lindsey reminded me that this is completely normal and things would get better. Hearing this wisdom from someone who's been there is invaluable during such an intense time.
I can't say enough how much we love Lindsey and I highly recommend her to anyone. She is nothing short of amazing and I can't imagine birthing any other way. Thank you for everything, Lindsey!
